Halifax has begun construction for 6 new long-term care homes scheduled to be ready by 2025. The new facilities will open up room for roughly 720 seniors, following this the province is hopeful for the rest of the 34 planned facilities to be completed by 2027.

London Ontario's St. Joseph's health care received a substantial donation from a local couple to use towards care and research for veterans. The research is prioritizing military mental health and improving care for veterans. The remaining funds will also go to support veterans living at the Parkwood Institute.
